Haringey
Borough 2-2 Dunstable Town (Dunstable win 4-3 on penalties)
The
Blues showed the resilience that St Margaretsbury and Hillingdon
Borough displayed in past week, coming back from 2-0 to win
on penalties. Graeme Buchanan and Kyle Lincoln scored the
goals before some familiar Paul Taylor heroics in the shoot-out.
Town will host Padbury United or 61 FC in the third round.
Their tie last night was postponed.

Dunstable
Town 2-3 Hillingdon Borough
Leigh
Harrington had a happy return as his injury time winner gave
the visitors the points. Town led 2-0 at half time but once
again a reluctance to shoot and gifting posession too easily
cost the Blues

St
Margaretsbury 1-0 Dunstable Town
Dunstable
could have been mistaken for Barcelona based on their posession
and passing, unfortunately more like the Dog & Duck in
front of goal as 24 chances went begging including a penalty.
Bury centreback, Carl Robinson, put in a tremendous performance
and capped it off by scoring the hosts only chance from a
corner.

win to add to an unbeaten home record.
Matt Standen
put the hosts ahead after just three minutes but Grant Carney's
eighth of the season and Kerran Birch's second in as many
games saw the points coming back to Bedfordshire.

Town 2-0 Pitstone & Ivinghoe
Dunstable's
cup ties always have a bit of drama about them, tonight's
was a floodlight failure. The game was delayed for twenty
minutes with Town looking flat beforehand. After play resumed,
Dunstable came to life and goals from Jonathan Barnett and
Grant Carney won a place in round two - away to Haringey Borough

Holmer
Green 2-1 Dunstable Town
Two
needless mistakes at the back cost Town dearly. Michael Moss
returned to the fold, and became the instant hero as his wind-assisted
cross flew in over the Holmer Green keeper. Dunstable failed
to take hold of the tie, wasting so many good chances before
a static defence and woeful backpass allowed Dean Allen two
easy finishes. |

Town P-P Langford
Dunstable
Town's bad luck continues as some of our town's less reputable
folk decided it was a wonderful idea to break in to Creasey
Park and steal the armoured cables from the generators which
power the changing rooms and floodlights. Unfortunately community
spirit is non-existent to those cretins who've postponed tonight's
game. |

Kingsbury
London Tigers 1-0 Dunstable Town
Dunstable's
luck today was best summed up by Kingsbury's Budraitis Nerijus,
who managed to stay on the pitch after two bookings by referee
Simon Anscomb. The hosts' goal was of similar luck as the ball
awkwardly rebounded off Town's Kerran Birch to set up a simple
finish. The poor performances of the past week were overturned
and, but for four influential attackers sidelined, may have
seen Dunstable achieve the feat of those other Blues. |

Aylesbury
United 5-2 Dunstable Town
A
naive defensive display once again gave a flattering scoreline
to poor opposition. The Blues had the better of the play barring
the opening and closing ten minutes, in which four soft route-one
goals were conceded. Dunstable welcomed back Darrell Elliott
and Grant Carney, who terrorised the 'home' side's defence with
only an excellent display from Jack Sillitoe keeping him down
to one goal. Jonathan Barnett scored the other from the spot. |

Bowers
& Pitsea 4-1 Dunstable Town
Town
badly missed a fit striker, with three injured, one unavailable
and one 'walking wounded', as they fell to an effecient Bowers

bright moment for Town, who visibly felt the effects of a tough
opening week. Report to follow. |

Stotfold
0-3 Dunstable Town
Darrell
Elliott scored the extra-time winner when the two sides last
met and had another good night at Roker Park. Town took the
lead through Jonathan Barnett's penalty, after Jonathan Cooper
was fouled. After a period of pressure, Darrell Elliott's
two late goals eased Town to victory, the first coming from
a defence-splitting pass from the debuing Ryan Smith. Cooper
put in a man of the match performance and set up the third,
crossing for Elliott to slip second in from 18 yards. Report |

Borough 2-3 Dunstable Town
A
hard fought win marks Grant Carney's first game back and Paul
Taylor's 500th. Nathan Miller opened the scoring on 30 minutes
before Town gifted the lead to the hosts. The determination
and tenacity of the young Blues was clear to see as a Jonno
Barnett double ensured a winning start to 2010/11.

A

Grant Carney using the game to tinker with the formation.
